Australia updated its credit reporting laws a couple of years ago, letting financial institutions share more details about customers’ credit information with credit reporting bodies.

ME supports these changes. We believe reporting on a more complete credit picture could positively change the way Australians interact with credit providers in the future – including having access to greater choice and potentially better deals.

Consumer Data Right (CDR) Policy.

This policy explains how ME manages data in its capacity as a ‘Data Holder’ under the Consumer Data Right (CDR). The CDR regime (commonly referred to as “Open Banking”) was introduced by the Federal Government to provide customers with greater access and control over specific data that relates to them.

Under the Consumer Data Right (CDR), you can choose to share the CDR data we hold about you with an accredited provider.
