Cheques are being progressively phased out by the Australian Government as more Australians are choosing to make and receive payments electronically.

From 21 February 2024, ME Bank is no longer providing new cheque facilities linked to our ME Everyday Transaction and InterestME Savings accounts or issuing new cheque books to customers who have existing cheque facilities.

However if you’ve got an Ultimate Offset Transaction Account, you can still get a cheque book. 

Just send us a message using internet banking or call on 13 15 63 – once we’ve processed your request, your new cheque book for your Ultimate Offset Transaction Account should be with you within 10 business days.
