The ME Board is pleased to announce the appointment of John Nesbitt as a Director, effective 2 February 2017.
John is well known across the banking and broader financial services industries for his roles at Suncorp as Chief Executive Officer Suncorp Banking and Wealth, and before that, Suncorp Group Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Suncorp John was Group Chief Financial Officer at Perpetual Limited and before that Asia Pacific Chief Financial Officer at Lendlease Corporation Limited.
He has previously been Chair of the Perpetual Superannuation Board and has had memberships of other management and industry representative boards, including IBM Global Services Limited (a joint venture between IBM, Telstra and Lendlease), ASX Perpetual Registrars Limited (a joint venture between the ASX and Perpetual), and many infrastructure and property ownership entities.
John has also been a council member of the Australian Bankers’ Association, a member of the Australian Payments Council, a national executive committee member of the Group of 100 CFOs, and a member of the Finance Executives International Board.
