ME signs domestic violence charter

8 December 2016

Industry super fund-owned bank ME has taken a stand against domestic violence by signing Women in Super’s Domestic Violence Charter and introducing domestic violence leave for affected employees.

Research shows one in six Australian women and one in 19 Australian men have experienced physical or sexual violence from a current or former partner1.

ME CEO Jamie McPhee said the initiative not only supports ME employees, but sends a signal that domestic violence is an important issue that needs to addressed.

Women in Super said they have been heartened by the commitment shown by industry, CEOs and their teams in standing against family violence.
