Supporting Australia’s automotive industry
ME Bank is partnering with GM Holden to provide workplace banking services to employees at Holden’s manufacturing plant in Elizabeth, South Australia.
The partnership was announced on site today by ME Bank CEO, Jamie McPhee, and GM Holden’s Director of Vehicle Assembly Operations, Bob Glass.
Under the partnership a bank manager will visit the manufacturing plant each week, while two ATMs will be permanently installed on site.
Jamie McPhee said “ME Bank is keen to support Australia’s car manufacturing industry.”
“ME Bank recently purchased 150 Holden Cruzes as its sales fleet vehicles because we believe in supporting the Australian car-making industry.”

With approximately 1700 workers at its Elizabeth plant, GM Holden is ME Bank’s largest workplace banking site.
The Bank already provides its Workplace Banking service at 76 worksites across Australia and plans to reach 140 worksites by the end of the Financial Year.
ME Bank’s goal is to establish the largest workplace banking network in the country, providing genuinely fairer banking directly to customers right where they’re located every day – at the worksite.
