More than 140,000 Australians will take part in the Women in Super Mother’s Day Classic on Sunday 11 May. The annual fun run and walk is the country’s largest charity event. Events are held in all capital cities and territories, plus more than 60 regional locations.
Since the first event in 1998, the Mother’s Day Classic has generated $19.8 million for the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s research programs.
2014 will mark ME Bank’s 10th year as proud major sponsor and each year our staff and their families show their support by fundraising, walking and running in support of breast cancer research.
ME BANK BANDANA
You can now purchase an ME Bank bandana from the Mother’s Day Classic online merchandise store for $2, with all proceeds donated to breast cancer research. The design of this year’s bandana was created by Fiona Sproles, in honour of a friend, who is fighting her own battle with the disease. The inspiration for Fiona’s design is inner strength. She sees this demonstrated by those faced with breast cancer and in the support of the people around them.
