ME can refer you to our insurance partner, QBE, who can offer a range of insurance products to you. ME will receive a commission for insurance products subsequently purchased following referral of your details to QBE.


How do I get a quote and/or purchase an insurance policy directly from QBE which has the additional areas of coverage for ME customers?

You can contact QBE direct on 1300 665 705 or from our website you can request a callback from QBE, get an online quote and purchase a policy.


What happens if I’m currently insured with QBE? Can I automatically change onto this?

If you are currently insured with QBE, products will not be automatically transferred over to products offered under this program. 


Is there a pricing difference between online and calling?

There is no difference in price whether insurance through this referral method is taken out online or over the phone with QBE.


Do multi-policy discounts apply?

Multi policy discounts are available under this program. Please contact QBE direct on 1300 665 705 to discuss.


Is there a cost difference if I pay upfront or by the month?

There is no difference whether you pay by the month or up front for a year.


What is covered under the insurance policies?

What if I want to negotiate on the price of the policy?

Who manages my claim?

QBE will manage any insurance claim. If you have any queries regarding a claim, please contact QBE on 1300 665 705.


Can ME recommend what insurance I should take out?

No, ME cannot recommend what insurance you should take out. You can contact QBE direct on 1300 665 705 to discuss your insurance needs.


Does ME get a commission from QBE?

ME will receive a commission for insurance products subsequently purchased following referral of your details to QBE.


What’s the difference between this type of insurance and the one my super fund offers me?

What happens to my details when they are sent to QBE?

ME, with your consent, will provide your personal information (limited to contact information, security address and loan amount) to QBE to contact you regarding insurance. This and any additional information provided directly to QBE are governed by QBE’s Privacy Statement which is available here


I don’t currently bank with ME. Can I take out insurance through ME's referral process?

This offering is available to ME customers only. Mortgage protection insurance is only available for ME home loans.


What if I want to change or cancel my policy?

During what hours can I call 1300 665 705 and speak to someone?

Personal assistance from QBE is available Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm (AEDT) excluding National Public Holidays. Full services are provided on State based Public Holidays.
